Lakisha Jones!

Well the Top-12 gave great and
not so great performances in the
first elimination round.
The results and discussions can
be found on the Idol Top 12
Page.

The TOP 12 are in!
The final 12
contestants on this year's
American Idol clearly do not
represent the best 12. The
final eliminations preceding the
announcement of the top-12 was
no doubt a shock. Sabrina
Sloan and Sundance Head lead the
shocking departures this week,
and there is no way that either
of these two should have left
us. Sundance Head's song
choice probably caused his far
too early departure, but there
was no excuse for America voting
off Sabrina Sloan - NONE
whatsoever.
Nevertheless, with all the
excitement behind us now, we're
ready to watch our girl Lakisha
Jones do her thing. We
stand by our pick, but at the
same time, we still love
Melinda
Doolittle nearly as much as
Lakisha. Next week, we'll
be introducing our new Top-12
page where we'll follow the
final rounds down to the very
last week. Join us then!

YO!
Let's just cut to the chase. The
two biggest talents in this
year's American Idol competition
are
Melinda
Doolittle and our
beloved Lakisha Jones.
Melinda was a force to be
reckoned with once again on
tonight's show. Power,
power, power is all we could
think of to describe her vocals,
her performance and her entire
stage presence. We really do
love Melinda as well, but we're
just partial to Lakisha.
One thing we love about both
girls is their modesty, their
genuine and appreciative
personalities and their "nice
factors". You can't help
but love both of these talented
Idol contestants.
Now back to Lakisha:
Looking HOT and letting it all
hang out, Lakisha slammed out
Whitney Houston like no other.
Trenyce did it a few years
ago and others followed suit.
But Lakisha.... we have nothing,
NOTHING, NOTHING ... if we don't
have you!!! As
Randy Jackson has been
looking for, Lakisha lit us up
with the YO FACTOR
and once again, has us looking
forward to next week, when we'll
be anxiously waiting for
Lakisha's next song choice.
She gets better every week and
constantly reminds us of why we
have her pegged as our next
American Idol. YO YO YO!!!

Bring it Lakisha!
What can we say about Lakisha's
rendition of Midnight Train to
Georgia on Tonight's American
Idol. While Simon Cowell
loved the singing but not the
outfit, we disagree.
Lakisha looked great, she
sounded even better and that
voice! It's hot!
Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul
had no complaints whatsoever
about the attire on a night that
seems to have Simon Cowell
thinking he's America's next big
style consultant.
As we've known all along,
Melinda
Doolittle is - in our
opinion - right up there with
Lakisha. Tonight's
performance by Melinda was
smooth, silky, sultry,
controlled and full of POWER.
Simon praised her to the nth
degree and touted her
performance as "incredible".
And where Simon Cowell is
concerned, the word "incredible"
doesn't often flow from him
lips. Although it did
tonight for Melinda's
performance. We love
Melinda Doolittle as well, but
we're still pulling for Lakisha
in this year's competition.
Regardless, there's probably no
doubt that at this moment in
time, Lakisha Jones and
Melinda
Doolittle are both in this
competition to win - and we
think that both of these girls
will be there in the end.
With little competition and
mediocre performances
throughout, we're standing by
our pick this year. We had
Chris Daughtry going all the way
last season. Why he didn't
is only a factor of the
inability of the viewing public
to judge talent because we felt
that Chris Daughtry was the best
talent in the singing
competition last season.
Taylor Hicks had a look and
likeability but that's where it
ended. His popularity
pulled him through, but we think
he wasn't even among the top 10
best singers last year.
This year, we still Love Lakisha
Jones and we plan on riding her
amazing voice into the finals!

The Internet was abuzz Friday over a series of racy photos linked to an "American Idol" contestant. The pictures, posted on several Web sites, included one with four women posing topless at the beach, their hands covering their breasts, and others with a woman engaged in a sex act.
The anonymous postings alleged that Antonella Barba, 20, of Point Pleasant, N.J., was depicted in the photos and didn't indicate how they were obtained.
Alex Gillespie, a Fox publicist in New York for the top-rated show, said the network would have no comment on the incident or whether it might affect Barba's participation in the contest.
Gillespie said the network is not making any of the contestants available to speak to the media.
A message left Friday on an answering machine at the Point Pleasant home of Barba's parents, Vincenzo and Valerie Barba, was not immediately returned.
This week, Barba survived the first round of viewer voting and was scheduled to compete again next week.
Nigel Lythgoe, an "American Idol" producer, was quoted on Entertainment Weekly's Web site on Friday as saying he was unaware of the photographs.
"We have really good background checks on everybody, and we deal with that every season," he told EW.com. "It's sad, isn't it, that your best friends are the ones that come forward with information that will go to Smoking Gun or put your photographs on the Web?"
In the past, "American Idol" has dropped contestants for actions unrelated to the show. Frenchie Davis was disqualified in 2003 because of her appearance on an adult Web site — but she bounced back with a role in the Broadway production of "Rent."
